Super 8 by Wyndham Black Mountain

I really liked my big bed. one of the biggest i've ever slept in. The microwave was really clean and easy to use. the desk was at a good height to eat my dinner as well. I also had the ability to park my car right in front of my room. That made moving things in and out so accomodating. The heat in the room worked quickly and effectively. Shower felt brand new and the height of the sink in the room made it so i could easily fill waterbottles. Just so many possitive small touches.

Check in was quick and efficient. Staff happy to engage if you want a small conversation. Staff very pleasant. Room clean and tidy. Hotel is located at one end of Black Mountain, but within easy walking distance. Bed was comfortable. Tub was of a size that you could soak (important to us Brits!) Dollar General nearby for things you may have forgotten. Microwave and fridge all working. In the main, quiet, not paper thin walls.

We stay at Wyndham hotels pretty much wherever we travel to and this one here just appeared to need some exterior updating... The rims were nice but again the exterior and overall appearance could use some updating compared to others we stayed in.

If traveling and looking for a clean and comfortable night of rest, can’t beat this location. Traveled again to the area and stayed again, not disappointed. Black Mountain is also a great little town to stop by. Staff friendly and helpful.

Ok so first and foremost this isn't a high end hotel which honestly I don't care to stay at. But I had a nightmare few days being stranded in the mountains due to my car tearing up christmas eve. I found this hotel the price was amazing the owner was o polite and caring. Check in and out was an absolute breeze. The rooms could use some touch ups but other than that they was clean comfortable and everything. This place was a god send. I would stay there again.
